Through this code, implement the guidelines that anchor relations among NELSON WILIANS & ADVOGADOS ASSOCIADOS employees: between clients and legal professionals.
These guidelines apply to all members of NWADV; partners, associates, members of the legal team or administrative body.
Knowledge and strict observation of Brazilian law, particularly the Code of Ethics and Discipline of the Brazilian Bar Association – OAB; mutual respect, transparency, truth, loyalty, responsibility and integrity.
NWADV provides its employees with impeccable working conditions: respect for legislation, rules, labor and contractual rights. NWADV must make available ergonomic spaces, computer equipment, books and research material.
Stimulate everyone to contribute towards a balanced, serene and pleasant working environment, without any type of discrimination. Teasing, joking and behavior that is suggestive of bullying, moral, physical or sexual harassment will not be tolerated.
Legal Services: faithful observation of legislation applicable to each case, as well as Court Precedents; research and study of jurist opinion and pursuit of excellence.
Administrative Services: fully attentive to technical norms and due procedures.
Technical Guidelines: immediate and proper application of technical guidelines – legal, accounting, contract drafts, standardization of complaints and appeals, control systems, etc. Representation implies the personal liability of the violator, without prejudice to item “11” and possible fair dismissal, depending on the gravity of the breach.
Fee Agreement: no work may be undertaken without the respective fee agreement, which must be unambiguous with regard to the purpose, conditions of implementation, payment etc. Additional work or amendments to clauses must be recorded in an appropriate Addendum.
Complete confidentiality regarding the matters entrusted to NWADV, as well as in relation to the internal information of the firm itself.
Complete transparency, clearly informing the applicable legal measures, risks, benefits and consequences involved; monitoring of the case from the initial stages to unappealable judgment; prompt clarification of queries and provision of reports, receipts, procedural documents etc., whenever requested by the client. Any and all information and/or technical orientation must be done in writing and include unmistakable identification of the signatory (full name, professional identity number and contacts).
Independence but with respect and loyalty in dealings with former adversaries, competitors, civil servants, magistrates and legal professionals in general.
Lawyers are accountable individuals in the administrative, civil and criminal areas, in relation to their attitudes, procedural acts practiced and guidance given to clients.
Each NWADV branch – duly separate legal entities, with registered Corporate Tax Number (CNPJ) and local Brazil Bar Association Sectional (OAB) member – has administrative, civil and criminal liability, in the person of their respective Institutional Director for the acts, facts, consequences etc., practiced and/or produced within their units.
All NWADV staff must make every effort to maintain a personal and professional reputation beyond reproach, carrying themselves with dignity, respect and discretion, always striving towards their technical and cultural enhancement.
NWADV property must only be used for professional purposes, and we must all be responsible for its maintenance and preservation. With regard to computer equipment and electronic messages, the latter in particular, they should not be used to send personal messages, forwarded material, jokes, etc.
Queries regarding this code of ethics and any possible omissions, as well as the reporting of alleged violations, should be sent in writing to the local Institutional Director. If the query is not resolved in the branch, it will be forwarded in writing to the Head Office partners.
The current ethics code, along with the Vision, Mission and Values will be circulated internally, via e-mail and at www.nwadv.com.br. Copies will be made available to all partners, associates and employees so that its content becomes common knowledge.

Why does NWADV process your personal data?
NWADV collects personal data to contact all those who are interested in being part of our team of collaborators, or even want to become future business partners.

We operate in partnership with a number of other organizations to make our activities viable, especially with regard to services auxiliary to the functioning of the site. |Anonymization, blocking or deletion||You can request (a) the anonymization of your Personal Data, so that they can no longer be related to you and, therefore, cease to be personal data; (b) blocking your Personal Data, temporarily suspending your ability to process it for certain purposes; and (c the deletion of your Personal Data, in which case we must delete all your Personal Data without the possibility of reversion.|
|Portability||You may request that NWADV provide your Personal Data in a structured and interoperable format for transfer to a third party, provided that such transfer does not violate the Company’s intellectual property or business secret.|
|Sharing information||You have the right to know which are the public and private entities with which the Company makes shared use of your Personal Data. We will maintain, in item 3 of this Notice, whenever possible, an updated indication of our relations with third parties that may involve the sharing of Personal Data. In any case, if you have questions or want more details, you have the right to ask us for this information. Depending on the case, we may limit the information provided to you if your disclosure could violate the Company’s intellectual property or business secret.|
|Information about the possibility of not consenting||You have the right to receive clear and complete information about the possibility and consequences of not providing consent when requested by the Company. Your consent, when necessary, must be free and informed. Therefore, whenever we ask for your consent, you will be free to deny it – in such cases, it is possible that some services cannot be provided.|
|Revocation of consent||If you have consented to any purpose of processing your Personal Data, you can always choose to withdraw your consent. However, this will not affect the legality of any Treatment carried out prior to the revocation. If you withdraw your consent, we may be unable to provide certain services to you, but we will notify you when this occurs.|
|Opposition||The law authorizes the processing of Personal Data even without your consent or a contract with us. In these situations, we will only treat your Personal Data if we have legitimate reasons for doing so. If you do not agree with any purpose of processing your Personal Data, you can present an opposition, requesting its interruption.|

Nelson Wilians e Advogados Associados has a personal data retention policy in line with current legislation. Personal data is stored for as long as necessary, in order to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected.
Storage will occur beyond its treatment purpose, when any legal, regulatory and contractual obligations, among others allowed under the law, are fulfilled.
NWADV, believes in constant improvement. Therefore, technical analyzes are carried out to determine the appropriate retention periods for each type of personal data collected, considering its nature, the need for collection and the purpose for which it will be treated. In addition, we map the eventual needs for retention in order to fulfill obligations and safeguard rights.
It is NWADV’s responsibility to take care of your personal data and use it only for the purposes described in this Notice. In order to guarantee your privacy and the protection of your personal data, we use advanced technological resources to guarantee the security of the processed data.
From the security measures available on the market, we have implemented access controls to systems and environments and data treatment, in addition to encryption techniques and also barriers against improper access, among other information security controls.
NWADV makes every effort to protect your Personal Data, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee complete security.
Factors external to NWADV, which are not under our control, can compromise the security of your Personal Data, such as, for example, hardware failures, unauthorized use of third parties with your information.
